Brave the Caves II
Welcome to Bungonia National Park! This is a cavers paradise, with over 200 caves in the area! Many are just holes in the ground, and most require ropes and ladders to explore, but this multi-cache will just take you to a couple of most popular caves to give you a taste of what is on offer
This is a series of caches in Bungonia National Park, with this being the second. Be sure to find one of the most incredible Earthcache's located in Grill Cave (GCAEN5Z), which was inspiration for this series.
You WILL need caving gear to complete this cache such as: A helmet, A Good torch, Water, Long Pants and Long sleeved shirt. To complete this cache you will need to visit 2 caves that dont require abseiling gear. We have tested the air in both caves with aa butane ligher and its fine. If you plan to go further a butane ligher is a must!
To the Multi
At the listed coordinates, you will find yourself at the entrance of Argyle Cave. Without doing anything too hairy it is a relatively small cave.
Facts:
- Short without abseiling gear, one of the longest with.
- Has a crystal clear water pool at the bottom of the abseils.
Enter the cave and go to the main chambers where there are 4 split paths, look for the rock in the below photo: (if you are standing in the chamber where all the initials are, it is on the way back out the cave)

Measure the face of the rock in cm from Point A to Point B and round it to the nearest 10. Once you have that 2 digit number call it AB

Now head to the parking of Mass Cave. Head down the Red Track, then take a left onto the Green Track keep walking until you see a sign pointing to Mass Cave. Head down that trail and eventually on your left you will see the rusted frame entrance.
C = How many verical cylindrical rods in the openable door part? (In other words; how many rivets in the top of the door?) Click here for clarification
Go into the cave and hold on to the chain all the way.
D = How many times is the chain attached to the rock wall?
Exit the cave and head to the "Mass Cave Top Bars" waypoint. Here you will see a large frame guarding a hole that leads into the big chamber of the cave with the wooden planks in it. Make sure you have the larger frame as there are 2 here. If you have the smaller one keep going along the trail forward. The correct frame should have a smaller bit on the right hand side.
EF = How many verical cylindrical rods in the frame? Count the smaller ones as well. (Count the same way as the door)
Checksum: A+B+C+D+E+F=22
The cache can be found at S34 4(D-E).(F+A+E)(B)(F+A) E150 0(A*B).(C/2)(F*B)(C)
