This cache series highligts some of the work of one of the most well known authors out there and my favorite, Mr Stephen King.
The Shining was published in 1977 and was his 3rd published novel and first hardcover bestseller. It is also probably one of his most famous and well known works due to the movie adaption staring Jack Nicholson. "Here's Johhny!"
It is the story of struggling writer Jack Torrance, who gets a job as the winter caretaker at The Overlook, a spirit infested hotel in the Colorodo Rockies. He moves his family up there and his son Danny, who possesses "the shining," which are telepathic abilities, witnesses all kinds of different spirits and such. The story follows the fate of the family as they face their fate.
