Lietuvos mokyklos - tai Lietuvos mokyklose veikiančių jaunųjų miško bičiulių naujas projektas, kurio tikslas – skatinti vaikų smalsumą, plėsti gamtos ir navigacijos žinias. Taip pat populiarinti geocaching žaidimą tarp mokinių ir mokytojų, išmokyti mokytojus pasinaudoti geocaching sistemos galimybėmis ugdymo procese.
Lithuanian schools is a new project of young forest buddies of Lithuanian schools, the purpose is to stimulate children's curiosity, expand knowledge of nature and navigation. Also popularize the game of geocaching among childrens and teachers, teach teachers to use the opportunities of the geocaching system in the educational process.
Veliuonos miestelis.
Nuo 1291 m. kryžiuočių minimos Junigedos pilies vietoje minima Veliuonos pilis. Ji yra vandenvardinis vietovardis, pavadintas pagal čia pat tekantį Veliuonos upelį (dešinysis Nemuno intakas). Tačiau legendose taip pat yra pasakojama, kad šiose vietose stovėjusi mirusiųjų deivės Velionos šventykla, kurios vardą galima sieti su šaknimi „vel-“, turinčią ryšį su pomirtinio gyvenimo būtybėmis (pvz., velniu). Tai buvo mirusiųjų, vėlių deivė. Junigedos pervadinimas Veliuona galėjo turėti religinę prasmę (pvz., kovose dalyvaujant žuvusių gynėjų vėlėms]. Veliuonos vardas nurodomas jau 1315 m. kaip Wilhun – ji minima Sembos kanauninko kronikoje.
XIII–XIV a. kryžiuočiai miestelį vadino Frydebergu (vok. Friedeberg – „taikos kalnas“).
Since 1291 the castle of Veliuona is mentioned instead of the castle of Junigeda mentioned by the Crusaders. It is a water-based place name named after the Veliuona stream (the right tributary of the Nemunas) that flows right here. However, legends also say that the temple of the goddess of the dead, Veliona, whose name can be linked to the root "vel-", having a connection with the creatures of the afterlife (such as the devil), stood in these places. It was the goddess of the dead, the ghosts. The renaming of Junigeda to Veliuona could have had a religious meaning (for example, the ghosts of fallen defenders taking part in the battles). Veliuona's name is mentioned already in 1315 as Wilhun - it is mentioned in the chronicle of the canon of Semba.
13th-14th centuries the crusaders called the town Friedeberg (German: Friedeberg - "mountain of peace").
