REALLY SideTracked - Ackworth #1 Mystery Cache

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

The posted coordinates are not the final location of the cache, they will take you to the middle of a field. Ackworth railway station was a railway station serving Ackworth in the English county of West Yorkshire. The station was opened by the Swinton and Knottingley Joint Railway, which became a joint railway between the London, Midland and Scottish Railway and the London and North Eastern Railway during the Grouping of 1923. The station then passed on to the Eastern Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948. The station was then closed by British Railways shortly after the 21st July 1959. Trains still pass on the Dearne Valley line, but there is no longer a station at Ackworth. To find the final location of the cache you will need to complete the following jigsaw. Please bring your own writing implement, as the cache is large bison tube and not large enough to contain one.

This will hopefully be the first in a short series of REALLY SIDETRACKED caches which will chart the route of the Ackworth Light Railway, which had a branch line from this mainline just south of the "6 Arches" bridge, and ran to Hemsworth Colliery.

Roads around GZ are small country lanes with a speed limit of 60mph. Bearing this in mind please keep dogs and mini cachers under close supervision.
