Geocache Description:

This is a pretty quick multi cache. At the posted coordinates you will find a container hanging in a juniper tree. Inside it are the coordinates to the final, less than a tenth of a mile away. The final is a mild tree climb, also a juniper.

To reach this spot, take the 'water tank ridge' trail from the Upper City Creek trailhead and parking area (which is open year round) for 1.3 miles  round trip. The city creek trail network is closed to off road vehicles and motorbikes from November 15th - May 15th but when open, water tank ridge trail can be accessed by all terrain vehicles. Beware, it is a challenging route with steep rocky sections and steep dirt sections that are impassable when wet. Foot and pedal powered traffic is welcome year round. The early and late parts of November 15th and May 15th tend to be muddy and impassable. You can still make it by hiking to the side of the trail, which is permitted and causes minimal trail damage. When snowy, you might see people snow shoeing and XC skiing the trail network here. I wouldn't recommend this trail for XC skis but snow shoeing would be a blast.

We have permission from parks and recreation to have this geocache here in this tree and for you to climb for it.
