Welcome to Elder lake a historic spot in Barrow County that once was a lake resort and today is a local fishing spot. The Elder family lives across the street there in the curve and has an honor system to pay a couple of bucks to fish. if you explore around the area after your hunt, you'll see ruins of the once booming resort. BE RESPECTFUL and leave no trace!

This cache is hidden, with permission of the lake owner. Please park at the fishing flat spot on the side of the road before the gate. Do not park in the road.

ABOUT THE CACHE:
Everyone has a junk drawer. You know what I’m talking about, that drawer containing random, albeit useful, items that do not belong anywhere else in your house. There may be loose change, keys, spare batteries, tweezers and even some stuff you're not quite sure what it is!
Although it can be a minor nuisance, you just can’t bring yourself to toss out any of these things because you may need them one day. I have good news; that day has come! That’s right, when you arrive at GZ, you will find a junk drawer containing many useful items. Go ahead, open the drawer and admire all of the useful things inside.
Once you’re finished plundering through the drawer, take a moment to inspect the cache. You’ll see a peephole on the front (at the top right corner). Inside of this peephole is where you will find the combination to that lock (at the bottom of the cache). There’s just one catch, it is very dark inside!
It’s a good thing you have a junk drawer to help you out! I’m pretty sure you’ll find something to help you get the lights on so you can see that combination! Use your imagination!
I promise, everything you need is in the junk drawer. There is no need to use any other tools, use force or disassemble anything.
VERY IMPORTANT: Once you find the combination, you’ll need to squeeze the shackle, of the lock, TWICE before trying to open it. This clears the lock and prepares it for the combination.
Before you leave, PLEASE return everything to the junk drawer and PLEASE BE SURE THE LIGHTS ARE OFF, this will help preserve battery life!
This one may be frustrating but don’t give up, you’ll figure it out…eventually!
