Paperbark trees, belonging to the genus Melaleuca, are native to Australia and are renowned for their distinctive, peeling bark. One prominent species, Melaleuca quinquenervia, commonly known as the paperbark tea tree, thrives in wetlands and coastal areas. Indigenous Australians have historically used the soft, papery bark for various purposes, including crafting shelters and canoes, making these trees culturally significant. Additionally, the paperbark's essential oils have been utilized for their therapeutic properties, ranging from antimicrobial to anti-inflammatory effects.
The Cache:
This cache is in a quiet little park in Cranebrook. As you approach GZ, you may notice that there are all these tall brown trees and amongst this, you may notice one pale looking paperback tree. It is at this anomaly you will find this cache. please be careful to put this cache back exactly as you found it to prevent muggling.
