Le Centre communautaire Duquesne est aussi connu sous le nom du Service de loisirs Saint-Fabien. En effet, il se trouve sur le territoire de cette paroisse qui fut historiquement fondée en 1962.
L'édifice en pierre grise de style français dans lequel se trouve le centre, est un ancien chalet de l'ancienne pépinière de Montréal qui logeait le jardinier Joseph Guinois. Une partie du chalet servait au logement, tandis qu'une autre partie servait de l'atelier pour le matériel et l'équipement motorisé. Les plans du chalet ont été conçu par l'architecte Roger Dumas en 1949 et l'édifice a été inauguré en 1952.
En 1965, le site de la pepinière de Montréal ferme. L'édifice sera transformé en centre communautaire.

The Duquesne Community Center is also known as the Saint-Fabien Recreation Service. Indeed, it is located on the territory of this parish which was historically founded in 1962.
The French-style gray stone building in which the center is located is a former chalet of the old Montreal nursery which housed the gardener Joseph Guinois. Part of the chalet was used for housing, while another part served as a workshop for materials and motorized equipment. The plans for the chalet were designed by architect Roger Dumas in 1949 and the building was inaugurated in 1952.
In 1965, the Montreal nursery site closed. The building will be transformed into a community center.
