Krampus day 2022
Krampus is a horned figure that punishes ill behaved children. In Europe he is considered a companion to St. Nicholas. In the Geocaching world he punishes cache owners who put micros in rock piles and nanos in the woods, by increasing their DNF's.

When is Krampus day?: Krampusnacht is celebrated on December 5th every year. We are observing it on Sunday the 3rd, so we can all gather on the weekend.
Trivia Game: Back from the past, this year we will have an indivdual geocaching trivia game for all to play, with a prize for the winner!
Gift Exchange: We are going to hold a Krampus day geocaching gift exchange. Bring one wrapped gift (worth about $10) to exchange for each person in your party that wants to receive one. Gifts good for the geocaching lifestyle would be great. Just like in past exchanges we'll draw for the gifts.
Food & drink:
Dessert: Dessert in the afternoon, please bring a dozen or more cookies to share, some ideas, bake your favorite christmas / season cookies, purchase cookies at a bakery or of course there is always the grocery store.
Beverages: We will have tea, hot chocolate and mulled wine.
The Marshmallow Roast: We will be supplying regular marshmallows, chocolate bars and the graham crackers, if you want to bring something extra, feel free to do so. We'll be bringing the indoor table top roasting station.
Trackables: We have trackables from the 2023 & 2022 Nightmare in Carnation Creepy Cacher Campout, and a VERY few left over from previous years Nightmare events that we will have available for your purchase.
The Location of the event:
We will be in the Rose Room. The Rose Room is located below and behind the former Duvall Visitor Center. There is a dedicated parking lot off of Riverside avenue, there you will be right in front of the Rose Room. Please be aware Riverside avenue is a one street traveling south so from main street, you will want to turn down the hill on Ne Cherry Street, Riverside avenue will be your first left. Alternatively you can park on main street and walk down a short flight of stairs.
