Schönbrunn ist eine der Wiener Katastralgemeinden und liegt im 13. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Hietzing. Die Katastralgemeinde mit einer Fläche von 220,55 ha entspricht Schloss und Schlosspark Schönbrunn (einschließlich Gloriette, Tiergarten und den sonstigen in diesem Bereich befindlichen Gärten) sowie der Maria-Theresien-Kaserne.

Schon 1817 im französischen Kataster als eigene Katastralgemeinde im Steuerbezirk Hietzing geführt, gelangte sie bei der Eingemeindung der Vororte 1892 nach Wien und bildet seither einen Teil des 13. Bezirks.
