This cache is located right next to a popular disc golf course in the summer, as well as a busy highway and gas station, so be wary of muggles! No need to open any cabinets to retrieve the cache! This cache is also a good option during the winter months, as it is well above the snow line.
This area was once a popular stop along the Oregon Trail with a creek to water the oxen and horses. This became a very popular stay on the way through and was dubbed the name, Clover Creek. It wasn't until years later when Brigham Young came to visit early Mormon settlers that he renamed the town after his birthplace, Montpelier.
While this town has changed quite a bit since its beginning as a stop on the trail, the Clover Creek can still be seen winding out of the canyon directly to the west and making its way through the city limits.
This cache is located right next to the Oregon Trail Center, a museum with plenty of information on the early pioneers and settlers of the West, along with some beautiful original artwork.
