The eleventh instalment of the Lad(d)ies What Lunch series of events. It all started when myself, Maerad and dibby3 attended a lunch event back in November 2022 and signed all logs on caches we found that day as Ladies What Lunch. The extra D has been added to ensure we can be inclusive of all cachers.
For our Christmas event, we are opting for a tried and tested cafe - the Enchanted Wood Cafe at Kershaws Garden Centre, Halifax Road, near Brighouse - we will be there between 12pm and 2pm on Friday 8th December 2023, and have the function room at the back of the cafe reserved our exclusive use.
Christmas attire is not essential, but is encouraged.

As the cafe are expecting to be busy due to it being the lead up to Christmas, they are understandably keen to know numbers so they can ensure they have enough staff and food. Please log a will attend if you are planning to join us. Please let me know how many in your group and whether or not you will be eating. The cafe will have both a Christmas menu (see attached photos) and their normal menu, and they have advised me that it would be helpful if they knew which menu you were considering (though you don't need to decide what you are having - I won't be giving them any pre-orders).
For anyone wanting the afternoon tea option - this needs to be pre-booked - please do this yourself, but note in your log so I can take this into account when sorting numbers to let the cafe know - I will be doing this on Friday 1st December.
There is no requirement to purchase food to attend this event, but it would still be handy to know if you are attending to ensure there is room for you.
The garden centre has a car park and buses from both Halifax and Brighouse run past. Halifax and Brighouse both have train stations.
All cachers are welcome - new and existing - if you are not sure who to look for, ask staff for the reservation for Fiona.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the cafe.
Trackables - any which fit into a small tupperware box (with the lid on) are more than welcome. If you wish to bring anything larger, you are responsible for passing it along or taking it back if no-one is willing.
