Welcome to another addition to the popular church micro series. This one will bring you to the church of Holy Trinity and St George . The church is often open and its worth having a wander round because the inside is very much more beautiful than you might expect from the exterior.
The church opened in 1837 to replace a chapel in Stramongate where the Roman Catholics of Kendal had been worshipping. Being near the river, it has flooded on many occasions so in 1908 the floor level was raised. It is Grade 2* listed and regarded by architectural historians as "much the best" of the three churches in Kendal designed by George Webster.

A is the number of the scouts troop that you can see on the small plaque on the pillar to the left of the door
B & C are from the date being commemorated as in BCCB on that plaque
This an urban cache at a popular spot - search, retrieve, sign and replace with stealth especally in the summer when tables are outside.
