Most Wherigo's take you from stage 1 to stage 2 to stage 3, this one does not. It's more like a maze.
Load the cartridge, go to the posted coordinates and start the Wherigo. The first of many items will move in to your inventory. The items description may have three sets of instructions, three choices, like an intersection in a maze. The first may be like a Traditional, a set of coordinates. The second may be like a Field Puzzle, get numbers off a plaque. The third may be like a Letterbox, cryptic clues to follow. All will take you to a new zone.
When you enter a new zone a new item will move in to your inventory. It may be a new intersection or its description may say "Dead End". Once an item is in your inventory you will always be able to read its description. I recommend saving often.
The final is the only physical stage, all other stages are virtual. The final is a small camoed Lock&Lock hanging in a tree.
There is more than one route to the final and sometimes you will be looped back to a zone you've already found. When you reach the final zone its items description will say "Congratulations, you've found the final". The cache is at the coordinates of the final zone.
No special tools required. No Garmin chirp, no UV light, nothing. You will need a pen and plenty of paper, a smart phone, geosense, a good working knowledge of the geocaching website, stubbornness, plenty of time and a full tank of gas.
While I have spent more than a year working on caches in the past, this one was fourteen years in the making. Until recently it was a multi-cache.

This Wherigo is intended to be run on a smartphone.
It has too many active zones for a Garmin GPS.
Geochecker is for final and does not require exact coordinates..
WARNING! This cache was hidden by the same cacher as Reverse Engineering, Abyss, Dear Santa & It's in the woods, go find it.
Congratulations to paulinka65 and mathteach7 on the true FTF on Deranged Vile Labyrinth. The first to finish the Wherigo.
