Callaghan's Rapids Conservation Area is located on the Crowe River and boasts two sets of "falls" : Curtain Falls and Ragged Falls. The Trans Canada Rail Trail crosses the river at what is called the Twin Iron Bridges and is a picturesque location for viewing the river and looking for wildlife.

The parking is free and there are several trails from the parking lot to explore. The best season to visit is late summer through to fall when the mosquitoes have died down and the flooded areas have dried. In spring there are lots of puddles, so boots are a good idea. Winter can be beautiful too and all the caches in this series are winter friendly.
Please note : The Crowe Valley Conservation also allows deer hunting in the first 2 weeks of November and posts signs closing the Conservation Area to visitors who are not hunting.
