Dragons and humans have been at war for five decades. There is a prophecy that an explorer will find a golden dragon egg and bring peace to the land. The egg contains a sacred scroll, and a human who signs the scroll will be recognized by dragons as a protector of dragons and their eggs. This will show the dragons that humans can be trusted, and peace will follow. However, the golden egg is closely guarded in a cave full of dragons. The dragons keep it here to ensure that the protector is strong, trustworthy, and brave.
Recently, you found a map purporting to guide human explorers to the dragons' lair in an old curio shop (see below). It suggests that the journey will require some off-trail exploration, including crossing a stream. It appears that you should proceed from the trailhead until you reach the big rock formation on the right side of the trail. Just past the big rock, you must leave the trail-- the map suggests that you should see a nice stream crossing point (amazingly, the map also came with a photo of this spot, in the gallery) just below the big rock formation. Once you cross the Stream of Dragons, it appears that you should turn right and make your way uphill, keeping the stream you crossed on your right and the Northwest Branch behind you, until you come to the dragons' cave. There, you must prove your worth to the dragons. If you are lucky, not only will you end the dragon war, but they may also reward you with a piece of treasure. Good luck!
