Trolls may or may not live under the bridge.
"The Three Billy Goats Gruff" is a Norwegian fairy tale that tells the story of three goats that need to cross a bridge to reach a meadow full of lush grass. The smallest billy goat crosses first and is confronted by a troll who lives under the bridge and threatens to eat him. The little goat convinces the troll to wait for his bigger brother, who would be a more substantial meal. The middle goat comes along and pulls the same trick, urging the troll to wait for the biggest goat. Finally, the largest billy goat Gruff approaches, and when the troll comes out to eat him, the big goat charges and butts the troll off the bridge with his horns. The troll falls into the river below, and the three goats are then free to enjoy the meadow. This story is often used to teach lessons about problem-solving and cleverness over brute force.
