“Lettuce” entertain you with a flash mob
in the “Salad Capital of the Nation”!
The “lettuce” here will be paper money.
We’ll frolic for a few minutes at the above coordinates
with fellow geocachers attending Yuma Mega Event #20.
You’ll feel like a million bucks!
Geocache Description:
Here’s how it will work:
At about 5:15, arrive near the coordinates in Yuma’s Old Town. You will be at the 3rd Street roundabout and fountain. (There’s plenty of parking behind all the Main Street businesses.) Bring a dollar bill, or better yet, a larger denomination, and wear a green or white shirt. (If you don’t have one, come and participate anyway.)
Please stay out of the roundabout until the music starts at 5:30 p.m. Be nonchalant, and try not cluster in a large group. Small groups are fine. Meet your fellow cachers!
When the music starts, enter the roundabout and wave your greenbacks high in the air in time with the music. Locate one of the conga line leaders, who will be waving extra-big dollar bills. At the sound of a whistle, the music will change. Quickly get in the nearest conga line, put your left hand on the shoulder of the person ahead of you, and follow the leader (with the big bucks). The dance goes like this: Step-step-step-kick, step-step-step-kick, etc. Each time you kick, flash the cash in the air. Continue until the song ends and a whistle blows again.
Quickly step out of the traffic roundabout (important!). There is more information about this flash mob that may interest you. You can find it on the Yuma Mega Event website or the SWAG Facebook page. Thanks for participating in our “Geo-cash-ing” Flash Mob!
