A sentry is a soldier who is stationed to keep guard , or posted on a lookout as a early warning.
This spot has intrigued me for a long time, specialy since I started geocaching.
At gz you will find safe parking and a fence, please do not climb over the fence. Park there and you will find two squares in the fence specially there for the young and adventurous who like to explore, or even just go for a lookout.
Today, if you were the sentry I suspect you wont be doing a good job. You see a sentry must do observation, look in the distance for any movement and traffic coming his way. I suspect today you will be more focused the general area around your feet!
Once you found what your looking for, take the time to observe and absorb your surroundings.
To get to the top , you can either flank the left or right, the direct route is not encouraged.
Considering the environment please look out for critters ie snakes. If you take your youngens to join on the adventure , please keep an eye on them. But most of all have fun and enjoy the hunt.
As always, this is a popular truck stop, so you may find some litter lying around, I urge you not to complain, be that person, and pick up a few items and get it in a bin. Better yet, take it home and discard of it in your home bin.
