In January 1904 the Herero began to defend themselves against oppression with attacks on colonial institutions.
The cemetery with graves of the fallen German soldiers can be visited on the premises of the state-owned rest camp.
Also a plaque was set up in memory of the unknown fallen Herero warriors.
