This simple cache brings you to the Serene Garden, a section of the Gardens by the Bay which was just opened in 2022.

The Serene Garden draws inspiration from the simplicity found in Japanese zen gardens. Located near The Meadow, this 2-hectare space serves as a peaceful escape from urban life, allowing people to connect with nature on a more intimate level. The garden embodies a Tropical Zen atmosphere, meticulously designed to provide a calm experience for those seeking tranquillity. Carefully chosen plants and natural elements contribute to the creation of a serene environment.
Key features of the garden include an impressive Podocarpus bonsai tree standing at a height of 11.5 meters and over 160 red and blue rocks from Niyoda, Japan, adding an authentic touch to the visual appeal. The prominent Bismarckias, native to Madagascar, are showcased around the central water feature, displaying their unique silvery-leafed palms. Podocarpus and junipers, commonly associated with traditional Japanese Zen gardens, bring an element of grace with their meticulously pruned forms, resembling bonsai trees. The Bamboo, known for its rapid growth, subtly enhances the garden's ambiance, emphasizing sustainability without being overly conspicuous. Strategically placed Shady Tropical trees, including Lagerstroemias and weeping-form Angsanas, seamlessly blend into the minimalist landscape while providing essential shade. Their placement ensures a comfortable environment, inviting individuals to fully appreciate the peaceful surroundings.
