Sixten Jansson föddes den 11 september 1946. Han bodde i Mariehamn men tillbringade somrarna i sin ateljé här i Svinö, Lumparland. Sixten saknade körkort och cyklade mellan Mariehamn och Lumparland. Han dog 23 oktober 2020.
Som 33-åring vann han en popbandstävling på Åland vilket resulterade i singeln Don’t Stop The Music. Det i sig låter kanske inte så häpnadsväckande, men kombinationen av Sixtens udda musikalitet och bristen på information om vad detta var för något var bidragande orsaker till Sixten Janssons kultstatus. Hemma på Åland var han mera känd som Pop-Sixten, ett original i oredets bästa bemärkelse.
Sixten Jansson gjorde flera skivor efter Don’t Stop The Music och uppträdde relativt regelbundet som sångare, ofta kompad av något jazz- eller bluesband. Annars var måleriet Sixtens huvudnummer. Han var en riktigt begåvad konstnär.

At home in Åland he was better known as Pop-Sixten, an original in the best sense of the word.
Sixten Jansson made several albums after Don't Stop The Music and performed relatively regularly as a singer, often accompanied by a jazz or blues band. Otherwise, painting was Sixten's main attraction, and he was a really talented artist.
