Let's talk about Geocaching in Cairns

I’m so happy to return to Cairns more than 30 years after my first visit here. I’m so happy to visit the Great Barrier Reef again and hope to have

I’d like to meet local Geocachers to talk about our favourite hobby and to exchange informations about the most beautiful, interesting, challenging caches in the area. And I'm also thankful to get tipps for getting around, advices for good restaurants and bars.

In exchange we’ll give you informations about the same in Europe.

You’re welcome to exchange TB’s – as long as they’re small and fit in my small handbag.

We’ll meet at Telescopus at Cairns Esplanade.

It's good to reach with public transport.

Telescopus is an artificial work created by the local artis Dominic Johns.

It is a three-dimensional sculptural work which references the mangrove mud whelk that is common to the inter tidal mudflats around Cairns.

This work was created in 2008 and sits at 5m high and 2.5m wide, made from concrete and mosaic tiles.
