Please park at the posted parking coordinates and walk to the trailhead. The road is marked private but people use it to walk to the trailhead (it is marked on google maps as a trail). If you prefer not to use the road the trailhead can be accessed using deerpaths along the hydro cut at N43 25.321, W80 20.150. This is a seldom used trail on city owned property to the former Angelstone Park, you will be returning along the same route approx 1 km each way. This was an area used by Angelstone employees for picnics and recreation. It at one time had playing fields, playground equipment and even a pool fed by the nearby Speed River. As you walk along the trail you will be partly waking through part of what was once Idywild Park (Be aware, this was also known as mosquito park). As you enter the trail please be respectful of the nearby private property and stay on the trail. It is an unmaintained trail and can be muddy at times. There is a small creek to cross with the remains of an old bridge but its not in good shape (someone has recently built a new bridge along side of the old one), and there are some trees across the trail so it is really not bike or stroller friendly.
