Geocache Description:

Bowen park

Bowen Park sits beside Lake Burley Griffin, between Barton, Telopea Park and Kingston.

The park was named “Bowen Park” in 1963, after Sir George Bowen, the first Governor of Queensland.

This is a one-stage offset multi.

At the starting coordinates, you will find yourself standing in front of a wooden structure.

To find your way to GZ, you will need to sort some information and collect some numbers:

A= Number of “keyholes” on the structure.

On the structure, you will find a plaque:

B = 3rd line, 1st number

C = 3rd line, 2nd number

D = 3rd line, 3rd number

E = 3rd line, 4th number

F = 3rd line, 5th number

Further down the plaque you will see 2 years next to each other.

Consider these to be GHIJ-KLMN

To find GZ, you will need to take a Distance and Bearing from the starting coordinates where:

Distance is UVW

U = A + C – B + E

V = H + M – B

W = N – J + F - I

Bearing is XYZ

X = B – A

Y = H – B + C

Z = A – K – F + C

Checksum of U+V+W+X+Y+Z = 14
