The Location
"The Up Park" as we use to call it as kids. Officially named Mt Wilberforce Lookout Reserce, this patch of greenery has a playground, picnic tables, and a toilet block. Unfortunately there is not much in the way of a lookout anymore due to the trees and bushes, however you can take a short side-trip to the nearby footbridge/overpass that crosses Castle Hill Rd for a view south-west of the Blue Mountains (beautiful at sunset!) and east where you can see Chatswood, North Sydney, the city and even the Harbour Bridge.
If there are muggles around, please take extra care as not to expose the cache. You may even decide to come back another time when there are no muggles.
The Cache
You must bring a drink bottle that can hold roughly 500mL.
Use your bottle (and potentially a nearby facility) to retrive the cache container. Without wanting to give too much away...it may take a few attempts before you are successful in retrieving the cache.
Once you have signed the logbook, please ensure the container is properly sealed (push cap until click) before returing to its original position.
What's Nearby?
GC7XP8C "The Down Park" is a short 10min walk down the hill into suburbia. Follow the path at GZ down towards Brett Place.
Thompson's Corner shops are a few minutes walk from GZ. Cross Castle Hill Rd at the overpass. There are cafes, restaurants, a Coles, and other shops in the complex.
