Driving by here on a freequent basis, I've seen this trailhead and thought, "I'll bet that would be a good trail for placing some caches. Wrong! As I started on my quest to find suitable lairs for some caches, I learned the "trail" peters out shortly after entering the woods. So, I wandedred about, exploring some semi trails, looking for something interesting for a hiding place. Maybe down by the creek? No, it more like swampland than a creek. Back up the hill. Maybe here, maybe there, maybe something for the future. Realizing I wanted someplace that I copuld easily access for maintenance, I meandered back toward my starting point. Viola!

This cache is located on the Eglin AFB reservation. Hunters and or wild life may be in this area as well as military personnel conducting maneuvers. It is possible unexploded ordnance could be in the area so be aware of your surroundings.

A permit granting you legal access to the Eglin AFB Reservation is required to seek and find ANY cache on Eglin AFB Reservation!!! You must have this permit and it must be in your possession. The Jackson Guard will check. For $20 you get an outstanding map and a year-long Recreational Permit. The yearly permits are valid for one year from the day you buy it and it includes fishing.
