
Yiiro means 'joyful place'in Taungurung language and is believed to be the origin of the word, Euroa.
This garden is being developed by the community as a place for sharing ideas, knowledge, food and great times. They regularly hold events, run workshops, and share fresh produce which allows community members of all ages to get involved.
Aimee McCartney from Luruk-in was commissioned to paint three murals on the bushfood wicking beds. Aimee is a proud Taungurung, Wotjobaluk, Wemba Wemba and Boon Wirrung woman who created art that tells stories about First Nation Country, culture, and community.
