Geocache Description:

Welcome to Cache Across Maryland 2024. This is one of ten caches placed for the 2024 Cache Across Maryland. Each location was picked specifically to give geocachers a taste of the state and show you its beauty. By combining all ten, you'll be able to see why Maryland is truly "America in Miniature". We hope you enjoy them! You must find a minimum of ten caches prior to the picnic held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in order to receive a free Maryland Geocaching Society CAM geocoin.

Make note of the code word found inside each cache container. You must enter all the words into an online decoder in order to print a claim form to print and submit to receive your geocoin at the picnic, as well as your CAM certificate. More info on CAM is available HERE.

Heavenly Waters Park

Hours: Dawn to Dusk

Heavenly Waters Park is one of three county parks in Harford County. The park is located on the west side of the road and includes trails, an equestrian center and hosts the annual Harford County Farm Fair. The east side of the road contains part of the extensive Ma & Pa Railroad Trail that follows the old route through beautiful forests from Fallston to Forest Hill. The park is a great place for picnics and hiking, and there is plenty of parking.

The Ma & Pa Trail is a 6.25 mile multi-purpose rail trail that follows the old Ma and Pa Railroad through Harford County. It contains three linked trails, one unconnected, with plans to bridge the gap in the middle, bringing the total length to 10 miles. Both links of the trail have a variety of trail surfaces (paved, larger gravel, finer gravel), have few steep hills or hazards, and contain overlooks and bridges when necessary.

Heavenly Waters Park is where the two ends of the Ma & Pa Trail end and/or begin.

Nearby are the remnants of a chamion Bitternut Hickory Tree, which was taken down in 2019 due to part of it breaking off.

The cache you seek is uphill from the trail between several large rocks. Please replace as found or better.
