Geocache Description:

Welcome to the summit of Wachusett Mountain! You are at the highest point in Massachusetts east of the Connecticut River. From the summit on a clear day, you can see views of Boston to the east, up into Vermont and New Hampshire to the North, and down to Worcester to the south. From Memorial Day through November 1st, you can drive to the summit or take the chairlift during the summer and fall festivals. In the winter, you must hike or ski to reach the top! The most direct hiking trail is Pine Hill trail from the visitor's center but feel free to hike any trail you like to get there. Wachusett is an Algonquin word meaning "By the great hill". Wachusett is also a Monadnock which means it is a mountain that stands alone. The summit chairlift services intermediate and advanced skiing or riding. This cache was placed with the permission of Wachusett Mountain Associates who leases the land from the state of Massachusetts.

The code to the cache lock is the elevation of the summit!
