THE BIG SLIDE
Parking is either side of the new roadworks
Back around May 2020 there was a Big Wet which caused a lot of damage to our roads. This area was reduced to one lane due to a landslip and traffic was controlled by a set of portable traffic lights.
After some time it was said that tourists no longer went up the Donna Buang Rd to see the Mountain, they went to see the world's oldest, still functioning "Tempory" Traffic lights.
It turned out to be worth the wait, the undermined road has been shored up with a series of Reinforced Concrete pillars ( Interestingly, after placing the first Seven Pillars, the site was left to settle for about 6 Months, in this time the surrounding earth sunk 300 mm) then a formidable concrete Retaining wall has been made, below which the gully is lined with 402,000 (author's estimate, lost count at 150,000) rocks as Ballast.
The Cache can be found under one of those rocks. (or you could check out the Hint )
Happy Rock hunting with regards from Victourer.
Congratulations goes to BernieH who was the First to Find this Cache.
