At this location, Sir Donald Bradman scored his first century in cricket at the age of 18. The Don was playing for the team St George, he was playing against Petersham when he scored 110 runs and he took 3 wickets for 26 runs. This game was played on the 23rd of November and the 3rd of December 1926. There is a plaque on the other side of this oval that tells the story.
