Come join as we welcome 2024!
Lflibrarian and scareway will be in the area, visiting from Spokane, Wa. We were looking for a welcome 2024 event in the area and none was to be had, so we will bundle up 2024 from the eastside of the state and bring it here to the westside.
We discovered this area earlier this year and thought it looked like a good place to hold an event. There's a cache here; Sirens Perch (GC2WVA2), however it's temporarily disabled as a large Christmas tree takes center stage each year. Lets go see the Christmas tree! It looks like there are some great boardwalk caches to had in the area too.
We'll be offering some geo swag and some suggestions for great geocaching New Years resolutions, we would love to hear more from locals about cool caches to seek while we're here.
Nearby are a few restaurants if anyone is interested in lunch after the event.
In case the weather decides to get nasty (drenching rain, or snow, lol) there's a large public foyer area just outside the Scuttlebutt restaurant.
