Not on the actual Solstice, but come and celebrate it anyways. Come and watch the Sun go down on one of the shortest days of the year. I'll have a Solstice Geocoin to give away. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with watching sunset. The plan will be to meet at the gazebo.
The actual Winter Solstice will be on the night of Thursday the 21st. But being on a work day for most people, including myself, and the early time of sunset, I couldn't figure out a good way to do an event on that day.
On Saturday, the daylength will only be about 6 seconds longer than it is on the Solstice.
