About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Brentwood Station

Brentwood railway station is a railway station at Brentwood in Essex, England. It was opened on 1 July 1840 as a temporary terminus by the Eastern Counties Railway on what was to become the Great Eastern Main Line. The line was extended towards Colchester in 1843 and the Great Eastern Railway took over in 1862.  After the Grouping of 1921 it passed to the London and North Eastern Railway who undertook quadrupling of the tracks through the station in 1934. The station is sited at the bottom of Brentwood bank, which ascends to the east towards Shenfield station. The bank presented a significant climb down to steam trains and up until 2001 embankment ladders were present to allow workmen to access the tracks. These were eventually replaced with a walkway along the tracks.

As a result of Cross rail, which was planned in 1941 by George Dow. Brentwood is now a station on the Elizabeth in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. As part of cross rail, the TFL rail brand was discontinued and the trains were replaced with class 345 trains that run typically aorund 24 times per hour each way from Shenfield to Paddington or Heathrow airport. Great anglia train services pass through Brentwood, typcially on there way from  Shenfield to London Liverpool street.

Now to the cache

This cache is a mystery so the cache is not at the published coordinates, but its very close by. The puzzle involves telling a story about 6 people John, Adele, Sarah, Mark, Bob and JIm and there train journey on the Elizabeth line.

It's a sunny but cold Friday Morning in December at Brentwood Station, where, Sarah, John, Mark, Adele, Bob and Jim were waiting for the train and at 10:00am a train heading towards Paddington arrives at Brentwood from Shenfield. The first person to get of the train was Sarah at Romford, who was getting off to see a film 🍿. The next two people to get off were Bob and John at the next stop, who got off the train for work. The next person to get off was Jim at Goodmayes, who was getting off for school, (his a bit late). The next person to get of was Adele. Adele Stayed on the train 3 more stops more than Jim, she got off because she fell asleep and she was meant to get off at Romford 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. The final person to get off was Mark at Forest Gate to go geocaching. Happy hunting Mark.

The cache is at N 51° 36. Adele, Sarah, Bob E 000° 17. Mark, Jim, John

Hope you enjoy the puzzle
