This is my 10th annual cache placed in honor of Festivus, celebrated each year on December 23.
The main Festivus elements include:
1. An unadorned aluminum pole rather than a tree (because "I find tinsel distracting.")
2. Airing of grievances (because "I've got lots of problems with you people!")
3. A festive meal consisting of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas, with Junior Mints for dessert (because "Who’s gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It’s chocolate, it’s peppermint ─ it’s delicious!”)
4. The festival celebration ends when the chosen guest pins the host. because "Until you pin me, George, Festivus is not over!"
While not a formal part of Festivus, it is good form to note rather commonplace events as "A Festivus miracle!"
Also, do not be duped into making a contribution to the Human Fund, George Costanza's fake charity
