The Australian 2021 census indicates that No Religion is the fastest increasing classification of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.
The Sandleton Historic Pioneer Village includes two old churches, schoolhouse, guest accommodation, pug'n'pine cottage, games room, post office, drapery, carpenters and a mechanic's workshop.
The original 1890's Lutheran Church was used as the main Church, School and Post Office within the local area for many years. As the population grew, the need arose to build a bigger Church on site, as well a new School House. These were completed in 1914. In the 1980's further renovations to the buildings occurred, where the main Church was converted into a home.
The historic Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery is located immediately to the North.

A=The number of vertical slats on the white gate leading to the church porch. (The gate is just to the left of the building).
B=The number of cathedral-style (peaked) windows on the sides (Northern and Southern faces) of the church plus the number of chimneys.
C=The number of cathedral-style (peaked) windows on the sides and front (Northern, Western and Southern faces) of the church.
D=The number of doors plus the number of windows just on the church porch.
E=The number of horizontal wooden slats (excluding the frame) of the vent above the church porch on the Western face of the church. (If in doubt, take a photo and zoom in!).
