The Hollywood Walk of Fame has become of the biggest attractions in the United States. Since the attraction’s inception in 1960, celebrities are recognized for their contributions to the entertainment business each year. But behind all the glitz and glamour, terrazzo is at play.

The monuments are coral-pink terrazzo five-point stars rimmed with brass inlaid into a charcoal-colored terrazzo background. 

Terrazzo is a composite material that consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, or other suitable materials, all held together with a cementitious or epoxy binder. It is commonly used as a flooring material but can also be found in other architectural applications. The name "terrazzo" comes from the Italian word for terrace, reflecting its historical use in Venetian construction.

The process of creating terrazzo involves pouring a cementitious or epoxy matrix and embedding the chosen aggregate materials into it. After the mixture cures, the surface is ground and polished to achieve a smooth and uniform finish. Terrazzo can be customized in terms of color, pattern, and aggregate size, making it a versatile and aesthetically pleasing material.

Terrazzo is known for its durability, low maintenance, and the ability to create intricate designs. It has been widely used in various architectural and decorative applications, including flooring in commercial buildings, public spaces, and historical landmarks. Additionally, terrazzo has gained popularity for its sustainable features, as it often incorporates recycled materials.

El paseo de Fama de Hollywood es una de las mayores atracciones en los Estados Unidos. Desde su inicio en 1960, se reconoce a celebridades cada año por sus contribuciones a la industria del entretenimiento. Pero detrás de todo el brillo y glamour, entra en juego el terrazo.

Los monumentos son estrellas de terrazo de cinco puntas, de color rosa coral, bordeadas con latón incrustado en un fondo de terrazo de color carbón.

El terrazo es un material compuesto, consiste en fragmentos de mármol, cuarzo, granito, vidrio u otros materiales adecuados, unidos con un aglomerante o epoxi. Se utiliza comúnmente como material para suelos, pero también se puede encontrar en otras aplicaciones arquitectónicas. El nombre "terrazzo" proviene de la palabra italiana que significa terraza, reflejando su uso histórico en la construcción veneciana.
