This "ready for action" dog is a geoart consisting of 65 easy to solve (and mostly easy to find) puzzles, making it fun and easy for all levels of caching ability.
This geoart is dedicated to the geodogs in our lives. Some of us have them, some of us had them by our sides and at some point, all of us have probably cached with a four legged geo-friend. Thanks to everyone who contributed photos and stories of your geodogs.
The final locations will take you on a nice walk on some of Brantford's finest trails. Take your geodog with you, they will love it!
Max
I met Max while out caching in Tillsonburg with the Canucks. We all instantly fell in love with him and he with us as he loves attention and getting rubs. I knew he had to be part of this geoart as meeting dogs on the caching trail is such a big part of the adventure.
Max is a Leonberger. Leonbergers are lush-coated giants of German origin. They have a gentle nature and serene patience and they relish the companionship of the whole family.
A huge and powerful dog, yes, but the Leonberger is also known for his aristocratic grace and elegance. A male can stand over 31 inches at the shoulder and weigh as much as a full-grown human. Females run smaller but are still a whole lot of dog. Breed hallmarks include a medium-long waterproof coat, lush triangular ears, a bushy tail, and a black facemask that frames kindly dark-brown eyes. A dramatic feature of the male's coat is the lion-like mane around the neck and chest. A well-built Leo moves with an easy, elastic gait. A Leo is friendly but nobody's fool. As watchdogs and all-around workers, they exhibit intelligence and sound judgement. Leos require lots of brushing, ample room for romping, and unlimited love.
