This new path from Grange to the Tramore Valley park was opened in autumn 2023. One of the objectives was to make more public use of the attractive wooded valley east of Vernon Mount area and it gives you a good view of the scrambler bike track there. 1.5 kms long and 4m wide the pedestrian and cycle route provides a safe link from Grange / Frankfurt to the Tramore Valley park and onwards into Cork city. It encompasses the new bridge over the N40 and is already well used.
I thought new path deserves a few new caches. Not one to always keep to the beaten track, I noticed there was a small flight of steps leading off the new path and went to investigate. This cache is placed along the older paths I found there
