HEDGEROW RESTORATION AT HUCCLECOTE MEADOWS SSSI
Parking: There is some on-street parking opposite Hucclecote Meadows Reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: We will meet at 09:30 by the main entrance to the Reserve (see reference point) or after that find us working in the Meadows, around the hedgerows.
What: Join us restoring and caring for the hedges around the Meadows. We will continue our work trimming and weaving regrowth in hedges around the main meadows. We will also be removing bramble and caring for newly planted trees along the hedgerow.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools. Please bring work gloves if possible, and if you wish to bring your own tools (loppers, shears) please do so. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring a drink/snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
