This "ready for action" dog is a geoart consisting of 65 easy to solve (and mostly easy to find) puzzles, making it fun and easy for all levels of caching ability.
This geoart is dedicated to the geodogs in our lives. Some of us have them, some of us had them by our sides and at some point, all of us have probably cached with a four legged geo-friend. Thanks to everyone who contributed photos and stories of your geodogs.
The final locations will take you on a nice walk on some of Brantford's finest trails. Take your geodog with you, they will love it!
Geodogs - Lucie and Jayda (in memory)
Pawrent - Desafio
Of course I have to start with my two geodogs. Lucie and Jayda. I got Lucie first and she immediately became the "boss of everyone". She was feisty, smart and so much fun. She loved our walks and adventures and she also loved people - except Santa, she was terrified of Santa! Other dogs were OK but it was her people she loved. Lucie was two when Jayda came into our lives and they became the best of buds.
Jayda, she was my wild child. I rescued her from a bad home situation where she had been abused and starved. I wasn't sure if I would keep her or find her another home but I was not leaving her there. Jayda tested my patience as she had never been left along so had severe seperation anxiety and when I would come home from work, well the house would be trashed. A year later, with much love and patience, she blossomed into a loving, vibrant and fun dog. Jayda loved adventure, so much so that when she saw a deer running across a field, she took off after it in a flash - she did that a couple of times! Scared the life out of me. Jayda and Lucie loved going to caching events where they got lot sof love and attention from all my fellow geocachers (and treats from some). Both Lucie and Jayda have crossed the rainbow bridge but their pawprints will always be in my heart.
This photo is after a hike in Long Sault Conservation Area. We had done one loop and Lucie was tired so I put her in the Jeep and Jayda and I went for another loop. When we returned, Lucie was setted in quite nicely and was not moving so Jayda just climbed in and sat on top of her. Lucie was not impressed.
