A geocache ID (GCAHARG) that contains no numbers
representing a geocache with a name that contains no letters.

It is the last day of 2023. It is also the first time that I have ever hosted an event!

The last day of the year in 2023 is interesting to someone who enjoys highlighting numbers in dates. The numbers do not really mean anything to me, but it is fun to notice them and then point them out to others. This year, the last day of the year is 12/31/23. If you remove the slashes, you get 123123. It is a repetition of the first three whole numbers after 0. Then, if you consider the AM or PM version of 1:23 it becomes even more interesting. Remove that colon and combine the result with the date numbers and you get 123123123. This was the reason for the name of this cache.

I also thought it interesting that the cache name has only numbers in it. When I created the cache page, I was delighted to see that the GC number had no base 10 numbers and only letters. I thought that was interesting as well, so I provided the little quote related to these things at the top of the page.

The event will kick off at 1:23 PM on 12/31/23.

The official time for the event is 1:30 PM since you may only choose 15-minute intervals for event cache starting times. However, it would be great if you could enjoy the moment and celebrate 123123123.

The event will be held at the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center at USC Aiken. The RPSEC is normally closed on Sunday's, but will be open for this event. The entry door is at the posted coordinates. Inside, you will be able to visit with alligators, snakes and turtles. If you are so inclined, you may have your picture taken with one or more animals, but that is not a requirement. Join us as we say farewell to 2023 on this auspicious date at this not so random time.
