Who doesn't like to start the year off on the right foot?! Geocaching and hiking on the first day sounds like a great start to the year. Each year I set a goal for Geocaching. 2023 allowed me to place my first (and then some) geocaches and find my 2,000th find. So what's next?? Obviously hosting an event! This will be my first time hosting an event for my fellow geocachers!
There is no better day to start chasing our new Geocaching goals than day 1! Join me at the Hartman Reserve Nature Center at 8:30 so we can share our goals, Geocaching or not, for 2024. A light breakfast will be provided (muffins, water, fruit).
For those of you wishing to participate in the first day hike, we will leave the parking lot around 9:00 to begin to wander the woods! Again, participation in the hike is optional. Let's begin 2024 with a nice hike (and maybe finding a few caches along the way). The terrain at HRNC can be a bit uneven and rough, especially when snowcovered or wet. Please plan accordingly!
