Another puzzle solving event at the Newstead Public Library (in the downstairs Community Cultural Center). A brief presentation will precede some general puzzle solving.
This talk was originally scheduled for December, but low turnout due to the impending holidays has forced me to reschedule for January. Except for this paragraph, the time/date, and the GC code, the event page is exactly the same as the one for December. Don't wait! Log your Will Attend today!
A common basis of puzzle caches is something called the Periodic Table of Elements. Cache owners can dial up some pretty tricky puzzles using the periodic table. In this month's installment, we'll take a look at a few of the ways that the periodic table can be used to obscure coordinates for puzzle caches.

When I envisioned this puzzle series, this was one of my initial discussion ideas, so I've been thinking about this for quite a while.
Many different things can be done with the periodic table. All of them won't be discussed here, but many will. So, come on down to the library and join in the fun. See you there!

Special thanks to librarian Kristine Sutton for making the meeting space available to us. Perhaps this will become more or less monthly.
