I've wondered why there are no caches along Gilroy Hot Springs Road between the Hunting Hollow parking lot and the Coyote Creek trailhead. It's true that parking is not allowed anywhere on the road, but walking and biking are, and if you've hiked or biked from the Coyote Creek trailhead, you've probably come this way. So the next time you're walking or biking the two miles from the parking lot, you'll have a cache to stop for along your way.
You're looking for an easy cache that you should be able to find based on the title alone. This is a nice, shady spot for a quick break on your journey to the trailhead. The rocks across the road are also very impressive.
Henry Coe SP is open 24/7, so the legal parking is also open 24/7, and so is the cache. Parking at Hunting Hollow requires a fee or a state parks pass. The terrain rating is for the ~2 mile r/t hike or bike from the Hunting Hollow parking lot.
Happy hunting!
