Four years ago, malaika54 and antlerridgeroad hosted a pair of events, one on New Year’s Eve, the other on New Year’s Day. That time could be called year 0 BCE, just months Before the Covid Era. It’s time to try it again this year.
Noon in Sequim will be midnight in Mauritius. Let’s ring in the new year with them. Mauritius is in the Indian Ocean just east of Madagascar. It is best known as the home of the dodo bird, which went extinct 80 years after the Dutch colonized the island.
The event will be at Westside Pizza in Sequim. We will provide two large Westside pizzas, with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, onions and green pepper. Sorry, we are quite traditional when it comes to pizza! We will stagger when they come out of the oven, so they don’t get cold. If you want to order for yourself, you can save 25% by ordering online ahead of time.
We are timing this event so anyone who wants to get home and watch the struggling Seahawks play at 1:05 PM should be able to do so, at least if they are in the Sequim area.
