Thirteen Traditional Cache

This cache is placed in State Game Lands 71 about 25 feet off of the Standing Stone Trail. A 50 cal, metal ammo can, with few contents next to a nice sized rock with rock cover. Hidden jointly with Whiptastic while on a hike together the day after Thanksgiving 2023. Placed in memory of Scott (SHIKE13). A friend and cacher that had left us too early.  

Reaching this cache will require beginning on the Standing Stone Trail (SST) that winds through Mapelton and up Hill St. This trail is a right of way to SGL. You MUST remain on the trail for the first .7 of the hike until you reach SGL as it is surrounded by private property. DO NOT travel by vehicle beyond the gate even if it’s open as others in the past have found the gate locked upon their return. This cache is placed in State Game Lands 71. All gamelands precautions and regulations apply. A trailhead waypoint and a helpful photo taken from the trail have been included. Happy Caching!
