Keelung Tower is a new tourist attraction that opened in December 2023. Its original location is the old building of the Second Branch of the Keelung Police Department. After the building was scrapped over time, it was rebuilt into a new landmark of Keelung that connects the mountains and sea.
Its shape refers to the bridge crane in the harbor area. The overall structure is 57 meters high and the viewing platform on the top of the tower is 86 meters long. Visitors can ride the elevator to the top-floor observation deck, offering panoramic views of Keelung Harbor.
The cache box is placed somewhere in the small square outside the Tower and is open 24/7. At GZ, you can have a good view of the Tower and the Harbor simultaneously. The spot is away from most tourists, so geocachers can retrieve the container and log peacefully.
