Keelung has the highest density of bunkers in Taiwan. Xin 2nd Rd Bunker is a man-made cave. It is the largest existing one in Keelung and was used as a temporary command center during World War II.
For a long time, the bunker was closed to the public and gradually forgotten. Until recently, it was renovated and opened, and an elevator was built that ran through rocks, connecting Martyrs' Shrine, Hill of Hope and Keelung Tower, making it a popular new attraction.

基隆是全台灣防空洞密度最高的地方，位在信二路上的防空洞，是人工開鑿之洞穴，為基隆現存最具規模的防空洞，在二次大戰期間曾作為臨時指揮所。
長期以來，信二路防空洞不對外開放，也逐漸被人遺忘。直到最近，它被重新整修開放，也增建了貫穿山壁的電梯，連通忠烈祠、希望之丘和基隆塔，成為熱門新景點。
